This summer 5 youth (Jo Tamburello James Sankey, Aneurin Venables, Dale McLoughlin and Calum Crombie) from the British Isles South Youth in Ministry arrived in Hajduhadhaz, Hungary to assist the local church in their Vacation Bible School. The team worked together with local leaders, Edit and Sandor Gyarmati, and the youth department of the Hajduhadhaz church. Mornings were filled with exercises, Bible school classes with crafts, English language classes, and tons of fun sport activities.
For the youth there were also events each evening. More than 30 young people came together to play volleyball, table tennis, table soccer, soccer and to eat and worship together. The team stayed an extra two days to continue an active outreach effort to the nearby orphanages.
This is the second year that the British Isle District has sent a youth team to assist with VBS. Hajduhadhaz pastor, Gyula Fiak, has invited them back again for the summer of ’08.
