On 21 July, a Netherlands Work and Witness team arrived at the Kisvárda Nazarene Church in Hungary for the primary purpose of installing the in-floor heating system. This team was composed of seven Nazarene churches across the Netherlands including:
Mirjam Oldengarm, Mirjam Willigenburg - Veenendaal Ch.
Arjan Cappon, Mirjam Cappon - Breda Church
Stan Greben - Breda Church
Jan Litjens - Amersfoort Church
Robert Kegel, Ria Kegel - Amersfoort Church
Andrew Doheny, Ton Broek - Haarlem Church
Roos Blok - Rotterdam Church
Hans Sebus - Dordrecht Church
Jim Evenblij - Vlaardingen Church
Their primary mission was completed with the exception of the final layer of concrete and installation of the boiler.
Tasks accomplished included installation of sewer lines, running of water lines, cutting of concrete floors for drain / water lines, and cutting of block walls to run multiple heating lines. The sewer line required digging a 2 meter deep trench approximately 30 meters long.
The NL team also finished sanded the upstairs bedrooms and painted the interior walls. To complete the upstairs, requires installation of electrical sockets / lights, installation of all the bathroom facilities, painting of halls, and installing the floor coverings.
The NL worked very hard, not taking any days off during their two week stay. The team experienced local food with the pastors wife, Ica Tulipán, cooking all the food for the team.
A Michigan W&W team will arrive in late October to complete the sewer/water lines and to work on the upstairs plumbing and electrical.
