Our dear Prayer Partners
Today I realized that I hadn't yet written and asked you to pray for the service we will be singing in this Sunday in the State Church in Neubrandenburg. So here's a short note asking you to pray for us and for this service.
It seems I'm "outliving" the pastors in the State Churches where we have the choirs! There is now a new pastor at the church in Neubrandenburg. In Feldberg we also have the second pastor since having the Gospel choir there. The changing of pastors always brings a time of adjustment. They aren't the men who asked me to start these choirs, so it isn't one of their own "brainstorms". Thus, it takes them time to appreciate what goes into having such a choir in their church. They are happy, of course, that their churches are full when we sing in services there, but planning such a service is new to them. It takes a while for us to get to know each other and learn how to work together effectively. We have a very good relationship with the pastor in Feldberg now, though it took a while for him to realize that the work wasn't going to just cave in after his first year there (back before we knew how the choir work would continue to be financed). Since the time we sang a benefit concert to raise money for a new roof for his church, he has been behind the choir 100%. :-)
Now we have another new pastor to adjust to in Neubrandenburg. Please pray for a good working relationship between us and that he will be able to see what a mission opportunity this work is, to the people in the choirs as well as to those who come to the services we sing in. Please pray that he will preach the Gospel message on Sunday with boldness and conviction, rightly dividing the Word of Truth. And please pray for the choir, that they will sense God's presence as they sing and praise Him, joining with the entire creation which continually praises the Creator of the Universe!

We will have our dress rehearsal on Saturday afternoon. Again, I never know who from the choirs will be there and some of our main people are not able to come. God always helps us and I know He will this time, too. The important thing is that it brings Him glory and that people will come into His Light. Prayer is so important and I appreciate your support so much. Thank you!
God seems to be opening doors for us to sing (perhaps in smaller groups) for services in the coming year where there will be an evangelistic emphasis. I am very happy about this and hope that through these services, the choir members will again be exposed to the Truth of the Gospel and take further steps towards Christ. God is guiding us each step and I pray He will also bless and guide you as you serve Him where you are.
My warmest greetings and appreciation for you all
Linda
